What is a Life Coach?
Tony Stoltzfus in his book, Leadership Coaching, says "Coaching is like having a personal trainer for every area of your life."
He also says coaching characteristics are:
believing in the person being coached;
action oriented,
growth-centered,
a relationship partnership, and
a support system for change.
As your Christian Life Coach I have a profound desire for you to seek God and believe God's Word, His truth in your life ~ not just words in a book, but truth about and for YOU.
I bring life experience, passion, Godly faith and a set of professional skills to help you move forward toward your God given purpose.
According to Gary R. Collins, Ph.D. in his book, Christian Coaching, the best Life Coaches are:
"aware of their values, enthusiastic about change, growing in self-awareness, always learning, forward-looking, realistically optimistic, action oriented, flexible, courageous enough to be forthright, genuinely caring, trustworthy and respected. "
As I read that list, my passion for coaching was confirmed! In reality, I have coached throughout my entire corporate life. I have also been coached, have answered the tough questions about my values, my purpose and my vision. Now, I look forward to helping you.
Coaching vs. Other Disciplines

You might ask, how is coaching different than mentoring or counseling?
Where mentors give wise advice based on their own experience, Life Coaches help you fully draw from the well of your own God given insight and ability. Often the biggest obstacle to our dreams isn’t knowing what to do: it’s having the faith and belief in God's power to give you the confidence to do it!
Christian Life Coaches have mastered the art of believing in God's power to move people instead of us telling them what to do.
Counseling focuses on the past, but coaching focuses on the future.
